Leslee Broersma is the recipient of several national and regional grants including a WESTAF/National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a New Forms/AndyWarhol Foundation Project Grant, and a Colorado Council for the Arts Fellowship. Her work has been shown in many respected museums including the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts, the Benton Museum of Art at the University of Connecticut, and Temple Art Gallery in Philadelphia. Recently, she was granted an artist's residency at Fusion Art Gallery in Turin, Italy, and was one of 100 photographers selected to participate in Review Santa Fe 2017. Her ongoing series, Academia: Interior Landscapes, was featured on BuzzFeed in September 2019 and was exhibited as part of the 2019 Month of Photography exhibition, The Act of Selection, at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, Colorado. For the past 20 years, Leslee Broersma taught photography and digital art at the University of Colorado Boulder. She currently spends her time on location - from the Rio Grande to Europe - working on a variety of documentary projects.
