La Macina di San Cresci

“Artists are interesting creatures. We can be obsessive, dedicated, spirited and single minded in our pursuit for that perfect realisation of our art. We tend to be outsiders and are often that square peg in the round hole, so when you find an oasis like San Cresci you hold on tight -- for it’s that sense of belonging which welcomes you.”

Born 1968, I studied Applied Arts and Fine Arts in Paris. I’ve been working since as a film director in animation. I directed hundreds of episodes in a dozen of TV series for children, some of them have won awards in major international festivals.
In parallel with this activity, I have a more personal activity by drawing and sketching in my city (Paris) and during travels in France or abroad.
For some years I walk the cities, in France or abroad, in Europe and beyond,in search of magical conjugations between architecture and vegetation, between the built and the natural. Not to oppose the mineral and the vegetal, but to see how the two dialogue, respond to each other, and participate in the beauty and emotion that a landscape provides.
