La Macina di San Cresci

“Artists are interesting creatures. We can be obsessive, dedicated, spirited and single minded in our pursuit for that perfect realisation of our art. We tend to be outsiders and are often that square peg in the round hole, so when you find an oasis like San Cresci you hold on tight -- for it’s that sense of belonging which welcomes you.”

Richard’s art comprises abstract and landscape paintings, figure/portrait paintings and drawings, and 35mm/view camera photography. The landscape architecture practice consists of urban design, planning, commercial, industrial, recreation/open space, and fine residential projects.
“Some of my works are inspired by natural elements – sea, wind, sand, sky, flower gardens, fields, woods, and night stars. Some canvases are my views of the earth as it appears from space. Some are drawn from infinite places located within my sub conscious. Others are explorations I take at the speed of light to places I imagine in deep outer space. These artworks portray the fragility of life and the known universe.”
