La Macina di San Cresci

“Artists are interesting creatures. We can be obsessive, dedicated, spirited and single minded in our pursuit for that perfect realisation of our art. We tend to be outsiders and are often that square peg in the round hole, so when you find an oasis like San Cresci you hold on tight -- for it’s that sense of belonging which welcomes you.”

I am currently reading at the Escuela Sur del Círculo de Bellas Artes (Southern School of the Fine Arts Circle) in Madrid. This Master’s degree in Art and Artistic Professions places great emphasis on a greater knowledge and understanding of each of the artistic disciplines, as well as the fusion between philosophical and practical theory. Thanks to workshops in disciplines such as theatre, poetry, narratives or dramaturgy, I have connected with other aspects in addition to those most commonly encountered in a Fine Arts degree, such as drawing, sculpture or painting. This multidisciplinary vision of the Arts has enabled me to observe my own concept of art and creation through many different forms and, in turn, to find a common thread and discover the unique style present in all of them.
