During this residency, I continue to explore portraiture and landscape as abstracted by water. Using an underwater camera, I capture distorted imagery to inspire the paintings. The blurry line between surface and beneath the surface continues to fascinate me. Having moved recently to the Chesapeake Bay area, I continue to be surrounded by the inspiring qualities and capabilities of water.
