My paintings in the past have been characterized as mixed media collage, sometimes using montage or assemblage. My two-dimensional work incorporates more than one material, so that the physicality and process of making the image is sometimes subversive, but sometimes perceptible.
Etruscan imagery and iconography has invaded my consciousness.
The Etruscans as subject matter appeals to me because they represent the transitional in our human experience, no matter our technology or philosophy, our profound human experiences remains the same.
