Doug Bosch was born in Lancaster, Ohio in 1966. In 1992 he earned the Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the Yale School of Art, Yale University. In 1991 he was awarded a fellowship to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 1989. In recent years his work has been exhibited at the Dorsky Gallery, Queens, Columbus Museum of Art, OH, the Newport Art Museum, RI, the DeCordova Museum & Sculpture Park, MA, Montserrat College of Art, MA, the Institute of Contemporary Art, ME,Massachusetts Institute of Technology,MA and the New York Academy of Sciences,NY. His work is included in the permanent, curated collections of the Columbus Museum of Art, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Fidelity Investments and the DeCordova Museum. He has been represented by Judy Ann Goldman Fine Art Gallery, Boston since 2001. Beginning in 1992 he has taught art at Carnegie Mellon University, Columbus College of Art & Design, Endicott College, New hampshire Institute of Art, White Pines College. He now teaches at Rhode Island College where he is a tenured Associate Professor. Since joining Rhode Island College in 2001 Doug has received four Faculty Research Grants and two Faculty Development Grants in recognition of his studio research.Other distinctions include a residency fellowship to the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ballycastle, Ireland, the first Artist-in-Residence at Endicott College, Visiting Critic at Chester College of New hampshire, RISD and MASS College of Art and Symposium panelist for Dorsky Gallery,NY and DeCordova Museum, MA.
 
He lives in Providence with his wife and two daughters.
